National Paper Airplane Day is an unofficial observance, celebrated on May 26 each year in the United States to commemorate the simple aeronautical toy.

Paper airplane day celebrations typically include social gatherings at which participants create and fly paper airplanes.

Really? How odd!

All the while, we await news, still, after 2 years, of lost real plane MH370 in the Indian Ocean, and more recently lost EgyptAir 804 in the Mediterranean, with all souls aboard both. RIP.

Well, I guess one can declare any day desired as being national-something day. I'm often surprised when it's brought to my attention that this is national-fill-in-the-blank-day. Usually, there is a financial implication...national secretary's day, so better buy chocolates and flowers...all promoted by the companies making chocolates and delivering flowers. Mother's and Father's Day was originally promoted by greeting card companies. How are you and anyjazz celebrating this momentous paper airplane holiday? I suspect most people are hurriedly packing bags, heading to the airport toward being a passenger on a REAL airplane, anticipating their arrival at some vacation hot-spot for Memorial Day on Monday.

Off - Did you see that a Libertarian will be running as an independent on the presidential ballot...Trump and Bernie have agreed to debate prior to the CA primary?

Last night's "Charlie Rose" had a segment about Clinton's email problems:

I left a comment awaiting moderation on your "Disturbed" post:
Perhaps it was wiped-out due to your Blogger problems.

BTW - The new Moon on June 4th...14* Gemini conjunct Venus, completing a grand square with Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune, inconjunct Pluto...greatly affects both Trump's and Bernie's natal charts, and not in a good way. There isn't much time between now and the CA primary, so their debate is very likely around the time of the new Moon.

mike + (again) ~ Anyjazz and I shall ignore it. :-) For my part, I don't recall flying paper planes - ever! I do remember, in a children's annual book I used to receive each Christmas, there was always a section on origami. I'd fail miserably to achieve a likeness of the model shown - probably one of those was an air-worthy item and failure put me off for good. :-)

Libertarian ? I think it's Gary Johnson - and I think he was around in either 2012 or 2008 too.

Didn't know about Trump and Sanders proposing a debate. LOL! That should be something to behold!

Thanks for the Charlie Rose segment link - that was a good presentation, quite fair, I thought.

Your other comment has probably gone to await moderation - that happens if the post is older than 4 or 5 days (in order to stop spam getting into comments without my noticing.) I'll go rescue it in a mo.

From what the article said about a proposed debate, that's all it is at present - a proposal. Maybe it'll not happen.

Nice Bernie video

Yes, nice promotion ad...non-offensive. I forgot to mention that The Bern is on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" tonight as main guest, usually a 20 minute slot. Trump was on "JKL" last night, which is how the proposed debate originated.
