Music Monday ~ Political Reflections

A comment at naked capitalism website (link in sidebar) last week provided this Music Monday's first tune. Commenter "Dave" wrote, on 2 February, with regard to current political outrage and hysterics by those labelled "liberal" in the USA:

At last, they have a real piece of meat they can sink their ever longer teeth into that once snapped in the air with Bush and just sat there in their mouth under Obama.
The subconscious sense of betrayal they felt with Obama knew no outlet but indigestion and lots of pharma. Now they have a real target that all the really big money, the Military Industrial Complex, the MSM, the radicals, the feminists and the magazine stand intellectuals can agree to hate along with them.

“One, Singular Sensation…” Bob Fosse couldn’t have written it better.

Their outrage is Trump’s fuel however and the louder and more ridiculously they protest and the more video they help create, the stronger his chances of re-election.






Staying with the stage musical genre (longtime favourite of mine), again reflecting current political atmospheres in the USA. From Evita, Peron sings:

Dice are rolling, the knives are out.
Would-be presidents are all around,
I don't say they mean harm
But they'd each give an arm
To see us six feet underground.

Just read about France's shift to right. This world has never been scarier though so predictable for a very long time. The unleashing of fascism.

Wisewebwoman ~ Pendulum swinging, I guess WWW. It can only last so long, but at its extremities can do a lot of damage.

Trying to think positive, but it gets more difficult day by day.
