Blogging On Foot

This video led me to blog a tiny celebration of....FEET, today:

FOOT PUPPETS

Feet of an Apostle by Albrecht Durer

Jesus Washing Feet of Peter by Ford Maddox Brown

"The human foot is a masterpiece of engineering and a work of art."
Leonardo da Vinci

"Who you know will get your foot into the door. What you know will keep your foot out of your mouth. "
Unknown

"Here men from the planet Earth first set foot upon the Moon. July 1969 AD. We came in peace for all mankind. "
Neil Armstrong

I've made-out OK with my feet over the years, but it didn't appear promising in my youth, as I have extremely flat feet. Could always tell when I was at the swimming pool...just look for the giant splats on the concrete that looked like enormous duck footprints. My shins would ache, but that finally alleviated in my twenties. Correctly sized, I'm about (depending on manufacturer) a size 10 EEEEE...no joke.

Now that I'm older and wear sandals about eight months of the year, my feet look atrocious. I should be slathering moisturizer on them, but I'm loath to have greasy feet. Toe nails are extremely tough, soon to purchase wire cutters...LOL.

Enjoyed the foot puppets. Not feet, but dogs in similar fashion:

I enjoy a complete body, but those without arms utilize their feet to accomplish more than I ever could, such as this "China's Got Talent" contestant:

It appears you were having a Pisces' moment on the bench...Pisces rules the feet. You seem to have vulnerable feet. Did your foot sore totally resolve? I like your necklace...what is the stone?

mike ~ Goodness! Those are some wide fittings!

Loved the dog video...lol...thanks! Very cleverly done. And yes, it's amazing how those who must, can use their feet for skills and talents those of us with full use of bith hands and both feet could only dream of - the pianist, for instance, also many who paint by foot.

Thank you, yes, my foot did heal, slowly but surely. I have to take extra care not to break the skin on my feet, circulation down there is sluggish, it appears, always has been - an inherited weakness. Doc prescribed some tablets that might help with the problem. Aquarius rules the ankles, Pisces the feet - I have Aquarius Sun and Jupiter Pisces in close semi-sextile so maybe I get the goodies and baddies from both. ;-)

The necklace stone is turquoise, and I do suspect it really is turquoise and not the fake stuff that abounds in stores. The pendant was originally an ear-ring and someone had converted it to be used as a pendant. I found it in an antique store somewhere in Oklahoma, not long after arriving here. Your query had me going off to find it, not having worn it for a while. The silver chain I added, and the pendant's silver surround are in need of a good clean - which I am about to attempt. :-)
