Astrologers Predict a Second Term for President Obama

This week at The United Astrology Conference in New Orleans a panel of astrologers agreed, having come to their conclusions using a variety of methods, that President Obama will win a second term. The conference meets every four years and is the largest gathering of astrologers from around the globe. Their prediction in 2008, that we'd have a President Obama, proved to be accurate.

The above news, rather surprisingly to me, was carried on at least one major TV channel, CNN, and in many newspapers - typing "astrologers predict Obama win" into Google's search box will bring up plenty of evidence that the astrologers are not being ignored.

The astrologers also said that the election will be close, which most non-astro pundits expect anyway. Astrologers suspect that the lengthy vote-counting and shenanigans which marred the 2000 election might be repeated this year; additionally they suspect that all might not be rosy for Obama for the first part of his second term. That's is a paraphrase, for a straight-from-the-astrologer's-blog report see The Political Astrology Blog.

It's brave of these astrologers to stick their necks out, and I think they must be very confident to have done so. Had there been another Democrat challenging the President I doubt they'd have been as confident. But that's fantasy. The powers that be would never have allowed a challenger to emerge.

Voters like me who are confident that neither Obama nor Romney will even attempt to address the many wrongs adrift in the USA at present, have nowhere to cast our votes. "Vote Green Party, or Justice Party, or socialist, or......" cry commenters on political forums when this is raised. Voters in some some lucky states have that option. For Oklahoma voters it's highly unlikely. There's a petition in court at present asking for ballot access here for the Green Party - result due next month. My fingers are crossed. If the opportunity arises, I'll vote Green and ignore anybody and everybody who tells me that it'll only help ensure a conservative win. I don't care. I'll vote my conscience, whatever the outcome, as everyone should. If I have no choice other than Democrat or Republican I'll either leave the space blank or do a "write-in".

I don't fear a President Romney. In fact a President Romney would enliven the Democrats in congress who have seemed to be sleeping for three and a half years, while their dear leader has done stuff which would have caused them to scream blue murder had G.W. Bush or any Republican done similar things.

  1. We're in a similar situation in the Great White North, T, a PM who is trampling all over our democracy with only 36% of the popular vote. Crushing all cultural grants, CBC, environmental, aboriginal, rights etc.
And aligning himself far too closely with the US extremists.
Us oldsters need to be worried.
I will be voting NDP (New Democrat) next time. Greens have only one seat here.

  2. Wisewebwoman ~~ It seems there's a tsunami of discontent building around the world at present.

In the USA and possibly in your neck of the woods too there's a danger we'll become "comfortably numb" as Pink Floyd used to sing.
The powers that be will keep things well under boiling point, they know what'll happen if it boils over.

It's important that we don't become numb to what's going on!
We must keep each other awake and feeling.

    When I was a child
    I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
    The child is grown
    The dream is gone
    And I have become
    Comfortably numb.

  4. DC ~ Right on!!

Or even "the Walrus and the Carpenter" - same source:

'Then I like the Carpenter best — he didn't eat so many (oysters) as the Walrus.'
'But he ate as many as he could get,' said Tweedledum.
This was a puzzler. After a pause, Alice began, 'Well! They were both very unpleasant characters—'

  5. Sadly, you're probably quite right here. And look at the opposition anyway! I'd stand a better chance against him.

  7. You forgot the poisoned chalice of Obama's 12th house in a rectified chart. Not quite so simple.

  8. Anonymous ~ Mainly in this post I was commenting on what astrologers were predicting. So, "they" may have overlooked the issue you mention - I'm not familiar with the rectified chart you mention.

Thanks for the input though. there are so many strands to consider that I believe it's almost impossible to make a prediction (using astrology) for events such as presidential elections.

  9. GOOD HEAVENS! A DISTINGUISHED PANEL OF FIVE ASTROLOGERS PREDICT OBAMA VICTORY IN NOVEMBER

These astrologers are right, and Obama is wrong. Obama predicted that without a robust recovery by his 3rd year he'd be a one term president. But these astrologers are saying "economy be damned" and predict it won't be a factor in November; they are saying that even if the economy worsens-which it's bound to do given the onset of a global recession (the contraction of China's and Europe's economies), Obama will prevail and be reelected. Why? Because more important than America's economic future, more important than fixing the unsustainable deficit, debt and cutting entitlements, more important than runaway government growth which alarm most Americans who want a balanced budget amendment, in short, overriding all these downers is Barack Obama's one big upper: HIS MILLION DOLLAR SMILE. Four short years of that electric grin from ear to ear just isn't enough for the American people and these star struck astrologers; and they gleefully predict we'll be getting more of it failing economy, Obamacare and all. The heavens are smiling on Barack Obama. From Earth to Alpha Centuri all the planets and stars are aligned for four more years of smiles, golf and lies. For the first time ever a smile will win reelection for a failed and disastrous president.

But nothing's set in stone my friends, and neither is Obama's smile. There must be a way to wipe it from his clueless face before Election Day and save our Republic from ruin. And I think I've found the way. For as it turns out the astrological timing of this prediction was less than auspicious. For the stars and mundane events both said that astrologers would make a bad prediction that day about Election Day. Why? That day was May 29th, when Mitt Romney clinched the GOP nomination by winning the Texas primary. For May 29th (as I wrote here) fell on the 95th anniversary of JFK's birth, the last Massachusetts' citizen to win the presidency. If someone can get this in front of Obama (the "new JFK" with less than half the charisma and charm) I'm sure this sad clown will put on a frown and coast to defeat in November.

Postscript: JFK, Romney And The Number 29

John F. Kennedy who was the 2nd child of 9 children and was born on the 29th day of May, 1917 was 29 years old when Mitt Romney was born on March 12, 1947. Romney clinched the GOP nomination on the 29th day of May 2012, the 95th anniversary of JFK's birth. Now as 29 is a significant number in JFK's life, and Mitt Romney is aiming to be the first Massachusetts' citizen since JFK to win the presidency, and the 45th President and 19th Republican to win that office, amazingly the number 29 is a factor of the numbers 19459 (671x) and 19604 (676x) giving us the year JFK won the presidency. 29 is also a factor of 19807 (683x) giving us the year 1980 when Ronald Reagan became the second GOP presidential candidate to defeat an incumbent Democrat President- Benjamin Harrison being the first did so in 1888, 29 years before JFK's birth.
