It has been reported that Simon Cowell is linking up with Sir Philip Green, a British retail fashion mogul and billionaire. They appear to be attempting to create a monopoly on talent shows and other light enternainment, stateside. From Financial Times (FT online).
Professional astrologers have chewed on Simon Cowell's natal chart in the past. A good example by Kathryn Cassidy can be read here.
This is his natal chart set for 12 noon (no time of birth known).
I can't add anything to what has already been written by Ms Cassidy. The outstanding factor for me, in relation to the current news story, is Venus conjunct Pluto, in trine with Saturn in Capricorn. Venus rules the arts, Pluto relates to power, Saturn relates to business and structure, and in Capricorn as it is here, Saturn is pure, undiluted and unsullied in its own sign. Interpret this little equation and you have Simon Cowell's career in a nutshell.
He's in it for the power, and the $$$$, but it's the power which will satisfy him most, I'd bet on it.
Sir Philip Green was born on 15 March 1952 in Croydon, UK.
There's a link between his chart and Cowell's via Green's Saturn at 12 Libra
(Saturn relates to business & represents a father or father figure too) it's just one degree from Cowell's natal Sun. That's interesting in view of this snippet from The Guardian article linked above:
Simon Cowell, one of the world’s biggest TV stars, has joined forces with Sir Philip Green, the British retail billionaire, to form a global entertainment company that will create and own television content on both sides of the Atlantic. There was more about the link-up in The Guardian on Monday: "Can Cowell Back A Global Winner".
The two men, close friends for the past decade, have been working closely together in recent weeks, with Sir Philip travelling to Los Angeles to advise Mr Cowell on a new contract to appear on the Fox network’s American Idol.
The venture with Sir Philip will effectively act as a holding company for all of Mr Cowell’s entertainment interests, which include Britain’s Got Talent, America’s Got Talent and The X-Factor. But it will also be a springboard for new programming devised or produced by Mr Cowell, with Sir Philip providing business advice.

"Cowell really respects and looks up to Green. He's a sort of father figure to him," says another former executive.Green has Jupiter and Mercury at 19 and 12 Aries respectively which oppose Cowell's Sun and Mars at 13 and 20 Libra. This is a push-pull dynamic between Libra and Aries, not necessarily a bad thing as long as balance is achieved most of the time. When "the honeymoon" is over, there's sure to be a few tussles between these two men, to whom power and wealth seem paramount.
It’s so nice site. We love to see more on this site. Keep on updating… MonkAreRee Bali ***fdzsgwet
