I hope to be back soon after Christmas using my new (well, refurbished) computer with Windows 10. Good ol' Windows 7 will not be supported by Microsoft after January 14, boo hiss! If I find difficulty coping with a new-fangled operating system, however, I might be gone for quite some time!

You must have been very naughty to have the Microsoft elves on your heels. You & yours have a splendid Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely pic!
ReplyDeleteAll the very best T with the holidays and also with the Learning Curve of 10. I was amazed at how quickly I adapted so it can be done and I do believe there is an app which makes it look like 7 for a while, if that makes sense.

Or have an obliging grandchild walk you through. Or grind your teeth in frustration until it 'clicks'

Season's greetings to you and Anyjazz, Twilight. All best wishes for the coming year. Win 10 should not prove too difficult to master. I have it running successfully on an old HP desktop from 2006, and a Dell laptop circa 2007. Once all the updates are installed you'll be amazed how fast it boots up.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous ~ LOL, yes, I must've! Happy New Year to you and yours. :)
ReplyDeleteWisewebwoman ~ Thanks for the link, WWW. I took a look at the information there, but the process looks more scary than just diving in and fighting my way through Win10. We'll see. Today is the day of the big change, for me (unless I change my mind). :)
ReplyDeleteRJ Adams ~ Thank you, RJ, and the same to you and Mrs RJ - hoping for more happy times for us all in 2020.
ReplyDeleteRe Win7 to 10 - I remember being afraid to change from WinXP to Win7 a few years ago, but it turned out well, maybe the same will happen this time. I see the "new" computer has found its way onto the table close to my desk...Anyjazz will get me started on it shortly, he's better at computer stuff than I am, but even he is not over the moon about losing Win7 - his beloved Photoshop will not be the same - apparently the new version has to be rented now rather than bought outright - or some such change he's not happy with.
