I'm more shocked and sad than I can say to read, this evening, that the guy who has been my favourite astrologer for so many years - almost from his first newspaper and magazine forecasts in fact, has died - and way, way, way too soon.
I'm still a bit shaky, but away from home and doing my best to sort out a post on this laptop.
My sincere condolences to Jonathan's wife and family.

I feel for you. I felt the same when Sir Terry Wogan's death was announced. It was such a shock as he was always a live-wire and appeared so healthy. Sadly, these events become more frequent the older we get. Don't let it spoil your vacation.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to feel like I'm a character in the "Left Behind" series. All these younguns leaving the planet. I had to have my beloved Junior (the cat) euthanized this past Saturday...he had been very ill the past month and it was an abdominal tumor. RIP Jonathon and Junior!
ReplyDeleteRJ Adams ~ Thanks RJ - I felt the same about Terry -and Merle Haggard too not long ago. Those are 3 who've "been with me" for so long, thru thick and thin.
ReplyDeleteWe're heading out towards CO today - it'll take mind off ponderings.
mike ~ So sorry to read that your wee feline friend has gone before too. RIP indeed.
ReplyDeleteThis year and late last year seems overloaded with passings on. Maybe it just seems that way - as RJ said, as we age ourselves.
Just packing up to leave Amarillo. Walked our legs off around the many 6th street antique stores yesterday. Nothing much to show for it this time...prices sky high here!
I've seen a few memes about 2016. My favourite was "2016 is being written by George R R Martin". I had to explain that to someone ("No, I don't watch 'Game of Thrones' either, but I gather that a lot of characters get killed off"). My second favourite was about the terrible blow to music - Ted Nugent found alive. My condolences to all those affected.
ReplyDeleteVanilla Rose, LOL! Kanye West was found alive, too, though he desperately needs ego-reduction surgery.
ReplyDeleteVanilla Rose and mike ~~ LOL! We laugh because Jonathan would so advice - of that I feel certain. All those celebs who've gone during over past months needed an astrolger in the Universes great big arena in the sky - wish it didn't have had to be Jonathan though. :-/
ReplyDeleteLooks like The Bern is taking Indiana...53%!!! Hillary was ahead a few hours ago and now this twist.
ReplyDeletemike (again) ~ Yes! I put a comment on previous post to that effect. Great!!
ReplyDeleteWe're in Walsenburg CO now - not where we intended to be, but where we landed! Great white snowy mountains are background to the only supermkt (NOT Walmart)in town. Will see how this motel goes tonight and if okay will take a scenic drive to Highway of Legends, nearby, tomorrow.
Bit of a desert food-wise -but we're used to that.scenery makes it worthwhile. :-)
may John rest in peace and jr. too.
ReplyDeleteMike- sorry to bother you but I need your help.. I need to know when it would be the best time for me to have surgery this year.. cant be till sept-- but from then till the end of the year? I tried to look up transits but it confused me..
thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
Sonny

Sabina ~ Thanks - good news - but only if Bernie is the Dem nominee - and that is something the Dem Establishment will fight tooth and nail to avoid. :-(
ReplyDeleteSonny ~ Hi there (waves) :-)
Well, the GOP establishment couldn't stop Donald -

Sabina ~ Seems that way, but they haven't finished yet! Some on TV tonight were talking about a possible 3rd party run vs Trump - to likely split Trump's vote.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun eh? ;-)
Lordy! I just lost my reply to you, Sonny. Let me start over! As you know, you should seek the advice of a professional astrologer, preferably one specializing in medical astrology. You are having elective surgery, so not a crisis. You didn't describe your surgery, so I can't advise much. Each planet and sign rules particular parts of the body. You should have your natal chart compared to transits. The sixth house of your chart rules general health.
ReplyDeleteDon't have surgery on a full Moon plus-minus two days...I'd recommend just after a new Moon. There are few favorable days in the months ahead, due to transiting Jupiter & N Node-Saturn-Neptune T-square, then Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto T-square, Neptune on the S Node.
Halloween is reasonable, just after a full Moon, but Mars is separating from square with Uranus:

Avoid this type of configuration, December 15th:

It's impossible to know you doctor's natal astrology, but it plays into this, too, as do other factors.
Good luck! Here's a very brief outline from Wiki:

There are many websites on medical astrology...do a search.
I learned of the news after logging on as I have been doing for many years. Jonathan Cainer was a unique astrologer. He was almost like an advice columnist. I knew he was in the hospital three years ago for opeen heartnsurgery I believe. I figured he would be around forever. I was deeply saddened by the news!!! I am in total denial. My best wishes to his family.
ReplyDeletethank you so much, Mike. I'll go to those links and read. I appreciate your help.
ReplyDeleteSonny - I should have said that Halloween is favorable, as it's just after a NEW MOON.
ReplyDeleteCT Homeschool ~ Hi there. Thank you for your visit and comment. I didn't know about his surgery 3 years ago, though I do recall him being sick or in hospital back in the late 1990s and away from his column in the newspaper. I too am in what must be denial - keep thinking - no - there's been some dreadful mistake here - it just seems all wrong.
