THE GOOD:
Solar panels at Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum, and Boyhood Home in Abilene KS |
Related: I've just received a "Tweet" from Al Gore with a link to his piece in the current issue of Rolling Stone magazine, it's much less depressing than many I've read. (Run Al, RUN!!)
20,000 Re-cycled local newspapers exhibit |
THE BAD:
" You've got to ask yourself a question: 'do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?" |
AND
THE UGLY:
"nothing says 'I Love You' Like a NEW GUN".....LMAO!!!!!!!!!! The new diamond solitaire set in platinum!
ReplyDeleteI only read the first page of Gore's essay...I'll read the entirety later. Yesterday, I read that Russia was cutting-off natural gas supplies to the Ukraine. I would think that Ukraine and Europe are rapidly switching to other energy sources as tensions mount with Russia. Now, if we could only make the Koch bros impotent in politics here in the USA...then mount an attack on the Republican congressional prostitutes.
mike ~ LOL! Yes, that notice tickled me too - I made a special request to husband to drive around to a position where he could take the photograph without looking too...well, erm...liberal about it. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGore's is a long read - haven't read it in full myself, just first [page and scanned across the rest - I too shall return. It's such a relief for someone to write about the topic in even a slightly optimistic mood.
Bless his cotton socks!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I have a THING for Al:) have since the day I first saw him. gotta love those Tenn. boys.
love and guns, well whatever tickles your fancy I reckon. personally I'd prefer a BMW lol.
Sonny ~ Me too - ever since "An Inconvenient Truth" in my case, as I'd no idea who he was before that. I'm hoping against hope that he'll start coming to centre stage again soon, and stay there for a long time.
ReplyDeleteYes, agreed a BMW - or a Jaguar (on wheels not 4 legs) or even a new Mini-Cooper would be very nice. :-)
The incongruity of a solar power station at an installation dedicated to a Republican is what caught my eye. Of course, things were different back then.
ReplyDeleteanyjazz ~ Times must have been a lot different!
ReplyDeleteIt's maybe surprising, too, that the West Baptist loonies haven't been around protesting that these solar panels are the devil's work.
