Terrifying Trinity

On this day in 1945 "Trinity", the first test of technology for a nuclear weapon was carried out by the USA, at what is now the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. Around a month later nuclear bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Information at Wikipedia HERE and HERE .

Here's the chart for the date, exact time and place of the "Trinity" detonation. This is another experiment to discover some easily identified evidence for my proposition that: "something is going on, astrology-wise, but we don't know what it is".

Two major factors leap out at me from this chart. Mars, representing war, energy, aggression conjoins the fixed star Algol at 25 Taurus. Algol is traditionally defined as the most malefic star in the heavens. It's thought to have connection to beheadings, sudden death and all manner of nastiness. I've mentioned before in these blog posts that just because a person has a planet conjunct Algol, or Algol in a prominent position in their natal chart, it does NOT automatically indicate anything negative. I suspect there has to be a kind of linking of the astrological cogs - several other aspects all occurring simultaneously before any malign event will surface.

Other notable placements here, are Saturn (also traditionally considered a malefic) at 15 Cancer just 2 degrees from the ascendant, so in a very strong position. Uranus(invention, technology) at 15 Gemini, semi-sextiles Saturn and sextiles Mercury (communication) at 19 Leo. There is a string of sextile aspects (60 degrees) linking to Pluto - and Pluto rules nuclear energy! Pluto sextiles Moon, Venus, Uranus and Neptune. The Sun sextiles Mars(war) and Jupiter(excess or "publication" something made public). Here we have planetary chains, they could be likened to stacks of dominoes tipped over by a tap on the first one. The main chain links to Pluto governing nuclear energy, another links to Saturn (control), and the Sun links to Mars and Jupiter perhaps representing a trigger for the explosion.

The result of those fateful planetary chains haunts us still.

The area of White Sands where missile tests were/are carried out is, of course out of bounds to the public, but there's a large area still open to visitors. We visited in 2006 - it all looks so serene, and, well.... white. It was white hot that day too, as I recall. (Photos from my husband's camera below):

  1. It seems such a peaceful place. Hard to think what went on there. And if my memory serves me right, it isn't too far from Roswell.

  2. It's both peaceful, and surreal, AN.

Yes, it's not far from Roswell. We visited there on the same trip.
Intriguing! But we remained unsure about what had actually gone on in Roswell in 1947.
Something did, we felt sure of that after studying what was on display in the museum.

  3. I put my own spin on Roswell quite a while ago. You might find it interesting, here:

    Roswell

Hope you don't mind me putting the link on (come to that, I'm hoping it works). If you do, please take it off.

  4. Of course I don't mind, AN. I'll be over to read that article later.
I'm interested to know your opinion.
