I'm sure that somehow it fits into their corporate greed structure...don't be surprised should you browse blogs and receive sidebar advertisements for birthday-related somethings (maybe adverts for a Sunset Strip Music Festival or a Hollywood Chamber of Commerce visitor's guide).mike (again)noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16659850.post-41819886249165390272016-01-27T10:02:20.849-06:002016-01-27T10:02:20.849-06:00Meant to add that I was surprised this morning to ...Meant to add that I was surprised this morning to see the Google homepage header all birthday cake pictures (hovering cursor over it brought up 'Happy Birthday Ann') (apparently they do this if a Google member has filled in the box asking for birth date. I think bingo callers are wont to call this number "Sunset Strip" - which I hope is the address, and not a hint that, in the sunset of my years, I'll be playing strip gin-rummy with the husband during a long power outage. ;-)

Yes, I too recognise that "twinge of angst" you mention. Silly really, isn't it? I have to mentally slap my wrists for it, but that doesn't help much.

The minute I see a dog in a movie I'm wary of what they'll do to it. I think my film dog sensitivity was engraved in me early on when, as a child, I saw "Lassie Come Home". We're enjoying episodes of "Person of Interest" on Netflix periodically, there's a lovely dog in the cast called "Bear" - I'm already nervous about his eventual fate.

Thank you for that lovely birthday song! :-)
Twilighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14138621610593773784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16659850.post-50420896128192799432016-01-27T09:04:42.071-06:002016-01-27T09:04:42.071-06:00Happy birthday, Twilight! Your age now is "the number of completeness and perfection (both physically and spiritually)", so enjoy the benefits of the double-number combo...it only happens once in a lifetime.

My younger birthdays always brought hope of an eventful, active, and dramatically fulfilling year ahead. Now I'm very content to maintain status quo...mellow, uneventful, no drama of any kind...keep on keeping on. No big wants or desires here. I've enjoyed these surplus years, with no particular schedule to enforce my time, and appointments of any kind bring a tinge of angst. I have no health issues other than the intermittent afflictions anyone suffers, so a big blessing there. I've never been one to fret the advancing years. I actually enjoy the ripening process.

Dogs dying in films can be a tear-jerker. "Old Yeller" can make me sob.

Here's a birthday song just for you, Twilight:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Lo4QYhmcLomikenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16659850.post-24913184564479623402016-01-27T07:28:30.616-06:002016-01-27T07:28:30.616-06:00Sonny ~ Thank you kindly! :-)Sonny ~ Thank you kindly! :-)Twilighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14138621610593773784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16659850.post-42740307870934087982016-01-27T07:24:58.392-06:002016-01-27T07:24:58.392-06:00Happy Birthday Annie~!!!Happy Birthday Annie~!!!Sonny Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06926830309207639536noreply@blogger.com
