Something completely different this week, Arty-Farty-wise. There are now dozens of tarot decks from which to choose, some with quality artwork. At one time, in fact when I bought my own first deck in the 1970s, there was limited choice - most common then: Rider-Waite and one or two derivatives. I prefer decks based on the Rider-Waite symbology for my own use, but it's interesting to see how far away creativity has taken some of the newer choices.
Looking through the wide range of art styles of the many choices now available, some illustrated at tarot.com, it struck me that there are several decks whose styles of illustration and content offer good matches for the zodiac signs. The selection at tarot.com isn't exhaustive - there are lots of others available too.
An example of one card from my choice of one deck for each of the 12 signs:
ARIES ~ The Starter Deck
TAURUS ~ Art Nouveau Deck
GEMINI ~ Winged Spirit Deck
CANCER ~ Moon Garden Deck
LEO ~ Medieval Cat Deck
VIRGO - Herbal Deck
LIBRA - Lovers' Path Deck
SCORPIO ~ Crowley's "Thoth" Deck (Some beautiful illustrations)
SAGITTARIUS ~ One World Deck
CAPRICORN ~ Classic Deck
AQUARIUS ~ Aquarian Deck (This is mine.)
PISCES ~ Fantastical Deck

what about this? is that correct tarot info?
Anonymous ~~~~ Hi!
Well, that's not the way I use tarot cards myself. But if someone chooses to use them in that way, and it works for them and for readers - it must be fine, both for writer and reader.
I use the cards sparingly, experimentally and infrequently these days, to ask questions on topics of interest to me. This method suits me best.
Hey Twilight!
Liked them all! Interesting pictures. I use Egyptian tarot by the way.
RafaelVR ~~ Hi there! I didn't include yours then. Hmm I've Googled to investigate - there seem to be at least 3 different Egytian decks. All very attractive. Amazing how many different styles are available now, even within the same title!
Interesting topic, T. A friend of mine, who's an illustrator had a commission last year to design a brand new deck of Tarots. they were brilliant and beautiful. I love having my cards read!

WWW ~~~ Oh really? What an interesting commission - so much scope, as long as she was familiar with the background symbology.
I've scared myself silly a few times too many to use the cards for personal readings - so I focus on current events or specific questions these days.
They're good designs, but whenever I see a Tarot deck, I always think, Jung and his archetypes.
AN ~~~ Yes, but you also have to think about which came first!
And there's a whole lot more in a tarot deck than Jung's archetypes. But I understand what you mean. :-)
