Surgery done. Follow-up appointment with surgeon tomorrow to check healing of incisions etc. and give further info. Then an appointment to be made to see the oncologist to discuss what's needed next.
One foot in front of t'other.... :)

Warmest wishes for your own continued good health.
Twilighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14138621610593773784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16659850.post-53360023008215611632018-04-03T08:35:33.577-05:002018-04-03T08:35:33.577-05:00Hello Annie,

Our personal roller coasters travel at different speeds with varying dips and rises. :)

I'm happy that you've weathered two years unscathed, and long may the same pattern continue, Anon! I'll shout God Bless the NHS in unison! I had a hysterectomy on the NHS in 1985, in Leeds - wonderful job they did too, not cancer related that time, just bad fibroids.

I hope that I can follow in your 2-year footsteps, using the US health-care version for retired people - Medicare - with supplemental insurance to pick up overflow (or hopefully most of it!)

Thanks again for the uplift.
Twilighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14138621610593773784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16659850.post-5777601285077536442018-04-02T17:06:37.642-05:002018-04-02T17:06:37.642-05:00Annie - How wise you are.

I've just had my second year all clear.
I had great treatment - God Bless the NHS - i hope you will too. It isn't always bad news. Sometimes it's just an adventure you didn't particularly want.
Other women i spoke to described it as being in a fantastic club of women, that nobody wants to be a member of.
Mine was part of a bad 5 year rhythm - and ended startlingly on the night of the Winter Solstice. I know nothing about astrology or astronomy but i felt a huge significance that night.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16659850.post-21450295570463657632018-04-01T16:32:37.883-05:002018-04-01T16:32:37.883-05:00anyjazz ~ When recorded in one piece like this it ...anyjazz ~ When recorded in one piece like this it does sound like an awful lot in a short time - but lived piece by piece, there were some short intervals of relief between the storms. Before my mother fell ill and died, it had begun to feel like a kind of adventure, with the worst over. My retirement was nearing, meaning freedom for me, and potential adventuring to be had! Then the hammer came down again - and again. :(Twilighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14138621610593773784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16659850.post-26178692139998807102018-04-01T15:06:03.063-05:002018-04-01T15:06:03.063-05:00Powerful story. A lot went on in a fairly short span of time. It's "the rhythm of life" I guess, or at least it's my personal rhythm - slightly different for each of us. A rhythm will always be there somewhere, can usually be spotted with enough hindsight. Thank you kindly for your good wishes. :)
Twilighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14138621610593773784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16659850.post-49231658285997186072018-03-31T10:44:30.939-05:002018-03-31T10:44:30.939-05:00Fascinating, T.
